There are many additional techniques that can be used in the darkroom. For instance, to increase contrast you can use filters and try my favorite, split filter printing. There are also different types of paper, methods of exposing, and multiple post-printing procedures you can try to change the effect of your print. These directions will get you started with printing black and white photographs in the darkroom. If you enjoy the process, there is a lot more you can learn and endless alternative techniques you can try.
